Apart from common spatiotemporal parameters, the instrumented treadmill used in this experiment can obtain more possibly interesting data, such as lateral symmetry. Lateral symmetry describes the left/right shift of the center of pressure (COP) intersection point in chronological sequence in the cyclogram, taking all steps into account. A negative value indicates a shift to the left, and a positive value a shift to the right
