  • Physical activity and rehabilitation, as well as exercise
  • Combination of dietary intervention and exercise, with or without sleep

Authors who are interested in submitting should first choose their target journal from the participating journals and make the submission via the journal’s online submission system. Authors will be asked to choose which collection they are submitting to during submission, and they should choose the collection on Nutrition, Physical Activity and Aging. Papers submitted to the collection will be handled by the editorial team at each participating journal and will be subject to the publishing criteria of the journal. For pre-submission inquiries, please contact the editorial team via the 'Contact us' button in the online submission system.

There are a limited number of waivers available to support authors who struggle with funding. The waivers will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis before the end of 2021. Authors who would like to request a waiver should send over a pre-submission inquiry along with the abstract of their paper. The editors will evaluate the request case-by-case. For some authors, the APC for OA publishing may be covered by institutional OA agreements. Alternatively, authors can go to our OA funding policy page for more support.
